Dr. Lara Match, OD
Dr. Lara Match provides comprehensive eye care for patients of all ages, including contact lens fittings, ocular disease management and emergency eye care. She especially enjoys pediatrics and ocular surface disease. She takes time to explain conditions so patients know what to expect of their vision and eye health.
In 2020, Dr. Match was named Young Optometrist of the Year by the Central Pennsylvania Optometric Society, where she has served as treasurer since 2018. She is a registered provider with the Pennsylvania Diabetic Eye Health Alliance and the Children’s Vision Care Alliance. She is an active member of the American Optometric Association and the Pennsylvania Optometric Association.
Dr. Match is a certified practitioner for the Brilliant Futures Myopia Management Program. Since 2016, she has volunteered at elementary schools to provide vision screenings for students entering kindergarten. And she is a participating provider with InfantSEE, a public health initiative providing no cost eye exams to infants in their first year of life.
Dr. Match was awarded her Doctorate of Optometry from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago in 2016. During her fourth year internships, she received clinical honors and was nominated by her class for Colleague of the Year. She completed her undergraduate coursework at Harrisburg Area Community College and Temple University, Philadelphia campus.
She lives in uptown Harrisburg with her husband and young son. Outside the office, Dr. Match enjoys biking, painting, and gardening.
